Monday, July 22nd 2013 — Matteo Tinozzi, 58, was identified in reports as the driver of a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle that was being operated by a driver that police suspect was intoxicated on July 22nd in Benton, NY. Tinozzi was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of internal injuries sustained in the accident.
Scene of the Accident:
Investigation into the accident has since concluded, and now police are pressing charges related to driving under the influence of alcohol against the driver of the vehicle that allegedly struck Tinozzi’s vehicle. A third vehicle was struck by debris from this initial impact, and injured the two occupants as well.
