According to news sources 51-year old Cleva Lee Burton was injured in Snook TX when he was struck by a passing car along FM 60. Police said that Burton was walking along FM 60 after his truck had experienced mechanical issues when the car hit him. He reportedly stepped out into traffic the unidentified driver claimed which caused Burton to be hit by the sedan.

According to San Antonio TX news reports an accident along Loop 410 with a suspected drunk driver left 23-year old Carlos Leal Jr. injured on August 2 2012 at about 11:00 at night. Police in San Antonio said that 30-year old driver Jose Gomez-Saldivar was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was allegedly fleeing from local law enforcement.

According to Amarillo TX news sources an early-morning shooting at a local club called Foxes on August 4 2012 left three people injured. Police said that Jerry Lee Hill 37 Semaj Devionne Dora 17 and Sherrard Elroy Oliver 23 were all taken to a nearby hospital at about 4:00 in the morning when an unnamed shooter opened fire at the bar and club.

According to Midland TX news reports a hit-and-run accident in Odessa left one woman injured on August 4 2012. Police said that 20-year old Amanda Estepp was delivering newspapers in the early morning hours and was driving west on Penbrook Street when an eastbound driver swerved into her lane of traffic.

According to local news sources a motorcycle-car accident in Mineola TX on August 6 2012 left 19-year old Cody Hamrick with serious injuries. The accident happened at about 7:48 in the evening when Hamrick was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle along US-80. Allegedly a car driven by Patricia Hare pulled out from a private drive and moved into his path.

According to news sources in west Texas an accident in Amarillo TX left 29-year old Jared Cook with critical life-threatening injuries on July 27 2012. Police reports said that Cook was a passenger in 40-year old Alexander Eisenmans Ford which was struck by a driver believed to be under the influence of alcohol.

Local news sources at the Ute Lake State Park said that 21-year old Sharina Pool was injured in a boating accident on May 26 2012. Pool was reportedly inside a boat with at least six others and was thrown from the boat into the water where she was hit with boats propeller. Police said that alcohol was on the boat.
She was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition by medical officials. The five people in the boat were allegedly charged with various offenses including providing alcohol to minor and contributing to the delinquency of minors. They were identified as Jonathan Maes 21 Logan Denton 21 Brittany Holt 21 Tre Orozco 18 and Spencer Norris 18.
According to local news reports 33-year old Deamber Neal was injured in a single-car accident near Fritch TX on March 3 2012. Police in Fritch said that Neal was northbound on Highway 136 near the Hutchinson County line when she lost control of her pickup truck and left the roadway. After overcorrecting her truck then overturned at least twice.
Neal was injured in the accident and was listed in critical condition at a local hospital after the accident. She also sustained severe spinal injuries reports said. There were no details about how the accident happened specifically. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt during the wreck which happened at about 2:16 in the morning.
Local news sources in Amarillo TX stated that an accident on June 3 2012 left 22-year old Hector Alejandro Gonzales with life-threatening injuries. Police said that Gonzalez was at Austin Park with 19-year old Collin Lee Johnson and they were allegedly part of two different groups that were involved in an altercation. Police said that alcohol was a factor in the accident which happened at about 1:03 in the morning.

Local authorities in Storm Lake IA stated that 19-year old Deon Parkhurst was injured after a train accident on August 1 2012. Sources said that Parkhurst was walking west along the train tracks in Storm Lake when a westbound Canadian National train struck him from the rear.
