Commentary:
It’s the job of the trucking companies to make sure their drivers have safe records, are properly trained, and that their vehicles are in good working order.
When drivers of large commercial vehicles are careless, it’s even more serious than when a driver of a passenger vehicle is reckless. The massive size and weight of these vehicles can do a lot of damage if they aren’t operated with extreme care.
If drivers aren’t careful, they can be held responsible for any injuries or deaths that result from an accidents caused by their negligence. In addition, the trucking company that hired these negligent drivers can also bear some responsibility in the incident.
