New Holland, PA – Three were seriously injured after a hot air balloon crash on August 15, 2015. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM.
According to reports, a hot air balloon crashed in the 600-block of North Railroad Avenue. As the basket crashed to the ground, the balloon landed on power lines, shocking the three passengers in the basket.
The pilot and his two passengers sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. They were transported to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
No charges have been filed at this time against the pilot.
