Tampa, FL — One man was injured in a road construction accident that occurred on Friday, November 6, 2015 on U.S. 41 in Hillsborough County.
According to police, the man was working on U.S. 41 when a Honda Civic ran through the cone barricades and struck him. The driver fled the scene and crashed further down the road. The worker is it critical condition at a Tampa Hospital. His current condition is unknown, and his identity has not been released.
Police say the man who hit him was 26-year-old Edwin Bryan Rodriguez, who was charged with driving under the influence. No other information has been released at this time.
