Update[ November 10, 2015]: 89-year-old Ruth Hartman died from her injuries on Monday night, November 9, just a couple days after she was hit by her car while checking on a deer that she had hit with her vehicle.
According to police, Hartman was driving on Oley Turnpike Road on Saturday afternoon when she hit a deer with her vehicle. When Hartman got out of the vehicle to check on the deer, her car rolled over her, pinning her under a wheel. Hartman suffered critical leg and chest injuries from the accident.
She was taken to Reading Hospital, and was in critical condition. She died from her injuries on Monday, November 9.
