Tampa, FL – Jaimes Geraldo was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on November 6, 2015. The accident occurred early Friday morning.
According to reports, a 33-year-old Jaimes Geraldo was working at a construction site along U.S. 41 when a Honda Civic, driven by Edwin Bryan Rodriguez, crashed through a barricade and struck him. Rodriguez fled the scene after the accident, but he was later apprehended by the police.
Jaimes Geraldo sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital for treatment, and he was listed as in critical condition.
Rodriguez was not reported injured in the accident.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and several other counts.
The accident is currently under investigation.
