Ocala, FL – Donnovan Cortez Busby injured after a two vehicle accident involving a semi-truck on October 20, 2015. The accident occurred around 3:45 PM.
According to authorities, Donnovan Cortez Busby, 52, was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion north on U.S. 441 in the inside lane when he attempted to change lanes and collided into a black Peterbuilt truck with flatbed trailer that was turning right into New Holland Agriculture. The front end of the Ford hit the semi-truck. The semi-truck was driven by Jose Figueroa Victores, 44.
Donnovan Cortez Busby sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Jose Figueroa Victores was not reported injured in the accident.
The accident is currently under investigation.
In looking into reports on this accident, there have been no indications of driver fatigue, distracted driving, or vehicle malfunction as contributing causes to the accident.
