Rosraver Township, PA — A worker in a garbage truck was hurt this past Thursday morning, November 5, 2015 in an accident that happened in the Belle Vernon area. Police said that a garbage truck was headed down Fellsburg Road at about 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning when it lost control.
It appears that the truck swerved off the side of the road and crashed through some guardrail, landing in a wooded area off to the side. The driver was injured as well as another person, but police didn’t release their names.
The driver said that he was trying to slow down and make a left-hand turn, but the truck was going too fast and it lost control.
The truck was owned by Bigs Sanitation, which is a local company. Hopefully, some more information will be released later.
