Clermont, FL – Two drivers were injured after a four vehicle accident involving two semi-trucks, a postal service truck, and a car on November 2, 2015. The accident occurred around 3:00 PM.
According to reports, a tractor-trailer was traveling northbound along U.S. 27 when it collided with a cargo truck. The impact of the collision caused the cargo truck to hit the postal truck in front of it. After the second impact, the cargo and postal trucks were pushed into the left northbound lane before colliding with a Toyota sedan. The cargo truck then spilled its contents onto the highway.
Two individuals involved in the accident sustained non life-threatening injuries, and they were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. One was transported to South Lake Hospital, and the other was to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The names of the drivers involved have not yet been released.
The accident is currently under investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time.
