Walnut Creek, CA — An accident with an 18-wheeler that wrecked and then caught fire on October 16 on Interstate 680 in Walnut Creek, California has left many drivers injured.
According to reports, the 18-wheeler allegedly had a blow-out, which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, hit the center divide, and veer into oncoming lanes of traffic before exploding on the highway. The driver of the 18-wheeler was injured, along with multiple other drivers whose cars were hit or who were hit with flying debris.
Luckily, no one in this accident died. The owner of the 18-wheeler, from Top Raman Trucking in Tracy, claims the tires on the truck were new and did not know why they had failed. California Highway Patrol is still investigating this incident.
