Update:[November 3, 2015] The small child who was injured in the accident, 4-year-old Zander Tomas Ortega, died from his injuries on Tuesday evening, October 27.
Humble, TX — Two people were injured in an accident between a motorcycle and pickup truck that occurred on Monday, October 26, in Humble, Texas.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcycle hit the back of an SUV at the intersection of East FM 1960 and Moonshine Hill Loop. The force of the impact caused the motorcyclist to be projected into the SUV, where he hit a small child riding as a passenger. The 5-year-old child and the motorcyclist were both critically injured.
The child was taken to the hospital by LifeFlight. Police didn’t say why, but at this time believe the motorcyclist may be at fault, though they are still investigating. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
