New Waverly, Texas — There was a major wreck reported this past Friday along Highway 75 in New Waverly that involved a blue Jeep and a large semi-truck. Police with the Texas DPS said that both of the drivers were in bad condition after they were in a head-on wreck along Highway 75 that morning, October 23, 2015 at about 7:00 a.m.
According to the repots so far, it appears that the Jeep and the semi-truck were headed in opposite directions on Highway 75 when they collided near Buckner Road, which is close to the Walker/Montgomery County line.
It’s not clear which vehicle caused the wreck, but the semi-truck swerved off the highway after hitting the Jeep and crashed into a tree. As we stated, both drivers were badly hurt and had to be rushed to hospitals in critical condition.
More investigation by the DPS is underway, but they haven’t mentioned any updates since Friday afternoon.
