Las Vegas, NV — 61-year-old Yongming Chen was injured in a car accident that occurred on Thursday, October 22 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to police, Chen was attempting to cross in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Spring Mountain and Lindell streets. According to police, the light was green at the time, but they aren’t sure if the walk signal was activated at the time.
Chen is currently in grave, critical condition at UMC hospital. The driver of the pickup truck who hit her was 32-year-old Chayanit Castelo, who had two child passengers, ages 5 and 2. No one in the truck was injured during the collision.
