High Point, NC – Around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, an unidentified pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by an 18-wheeler, in High Point, NC.
The accident occurred at the intersection of NC-68 and Gallimore Dairy Rd. As the pedestrian attempted to cross the street, he was struck by an 18-wheeler. The man suffered critical injuries and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, and his current condition is unknown.
The name of the truck driver, or any information concerning how the accident may have occurred, has not been released at this time. There is no indication at the moment that alcohol or speed contributed to the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
