San Antonio, TX – The driver of a tractor-trailer truck was injured when it fell from an overpass in San Antonio on Monday, September 28th, 2015. The accident happened around 2:00 pm.
From what we can tell, an 18-wheeler caught fire and fell from a Loop 410 overpass ear East Houston Street after crashing into an empty Chevy truck on the shoulder of the roadway. The tractor-trailer went off the overpass onto the street below. The truck completely destroyed the guardrail on the overpass.
The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
Authorities are looking into this accident. There’s been no mention of distracted driving, driver fatigue, or excessive speed in relation to this accident.
