Callaway County, MI – Ajay W. Cave was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Callaway on Monday, August 24th, 2015. The accident happened just before noon.
From what we can tell, 18-year-old Cave was driving a 2010 Honda TRX eastbound along Highway 94 at County Road 465 when the accident happened. The TRX was struck by a 2015 Honda CRF driven by 17-year-old Ty C. Siegel. Both Cave and Siegel were ejected from their vehicles. As the TRX was overturning it was subsequently struck by a 2008 Polaris ATV, driven by 17-year-old Kayla A. Ward. This caused the TRX to strike Cave who was prone in the roadway.
Cave was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not known.
Authorities are looking into this accident. There’s been no mention of distracted driving, excessive speed, or road conditions are possible contributing factors to the accident.
