Colorado Springs, CO – There are an unconfirmed number of injuries, possibly as many as 6, from a 2-car, possible DUI accident early Sunday, in Colorado Springs, CO.
The details are really vague on this one, but what we do know is that a juvenile was driving a vehicle around 2 a.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Dublin Blvd. and Turret Dr. The driver apparently lost control, hit a ditch, and then launched the vehicle into the air, before striking an SUV. According to police several passengers were ejected from the vehicle in the accident. In all, 6 people were taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. No one has had their identity released to the public at this time.
The local reports conflict at this point. One source attributes the accident to speed and the inexperience of the driver, while the other says that speed and alcohol were factors. It’s not really our place to guess which is actually the case, just passing along all the information that’s out there.
