Columbus, GA – Taron Brewer, 8-years-old, was critically injured around 6:50 a.m. Monday, on Forrest Rd, in Columbus, GA, when he was hit by a truck.
Folks are saying that Taron Brewer was walking to his bus stop, when a Terminex truck struck him. As a result, Taron reportedly suffered bleeding in his brain and a broken collarbone. He was rushed to Midtown Medical Center where he was placed in a medically-induced coma. Despite plans to revive Taron from his coma Thursday, as of the latest reports he remains comatose.
It appears that the driver did stop to render assistance. Due to the ongoing investigation, his employer, Terminex has refused to comment other than to wish for the boy’s recovery. No charges have been pressed, or citations issued at this time.
It’s also being reported that neighbors have complained about excessive speed on Forrest road. Supposedly, people driving 10 to 15 miles over the speed limit are not uncommon.
