Le Mars, Iowa – Melissa Ebert, Damian Johnson, and Dustin Boll were injured in a two-car head-on collision in Le Mars on Thursday, September 17th, 2015. The accident happened around 11:30 pm.
From what we can tell, 28-year-old Ebert was driving a 2011 Chevy Equinox eastbound on C-38 and 37-year-old Dustin Boll was driving a 2012 Dodge Charger westbound along the same road. It appears Ebert’s vehicle crossed over the center line causing the head-on collision.
Rescuers arrived to find Ebert and passenger, 32-year-old Damian Johnson inside the Chevy that was on fire in a ditch. They were both extricated from the vehicle.
Boll, Ebert and Johnson were taken to Floyd Valley Hospital and transferred to Mercy Medical Center. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Authorities are still looking into the accident. There’s been no mention of alcohol, distracted driving, or weather as possible contributing factors to the accident.
