Gray, LA — A man from Patterson, 22-year old Craig Verdine, was injured earlier this summer in Gray after his car was in a wreck on U.S. 24 at the U.S. 90 overpass. Police said that they think Verdine may have been under the influence when he wrecked his car.
This accident happened on Saturday, July 11, 2015.
Verdine had been driving his car south along U.S. 24 that afternoon at about 3:00 p.m. when he lost control as he approached the exit lane for westbound U.S. 90.
His car swerved off the roadway and hit one of the bridge support pillars for the highway. Police also noted that this was in a construction zone.
Verdine was taken to a hospital by paramedics and treated. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor, but that wasn’t ever officially confirmed. The Louisiana State Police said they’d keep looking into this.
