Queens, NY – Around 5:15 a.m. Thursday Morning, a semi-truck overturned, injuring one, on the Long Island Expressway near Oceana St. in Queens, NY.
A truck driver was injured when his rig overturned on the Long Island Expressway Thursday morning. According to reports, the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to New York Hospital Center Queens.
No further details have been provided about the cause of the wreck. There was a fair bit of rain in the New York area last night, but there’s no word on whether the highway was wet at the time of the accident. A crane needed to be called in to remove the truck and the highway was not cleared until almost 8 a.m.
There is no word if an investigation of the accident is taking place.
