Dodge Center, MN – An incident occurred around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening that left a worker seriously injured at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing in Dodge Center, MN.
We don’t know much about this one, except that OSHA has confirmed they are looking into the details of the incident. Some are speculating that machinery nearly crushed one of the workers and left the man pinned. So far McNeilus has not released any information concerning the accident and a company spokesperson says they have no plans to do so.
This is not surprising, since the list of workplace safety violations at McNeilus includes complaints from employees that they were exposed to welding fumes and unguarded or ungrounded electrical equipment. In total the company has been fined $17,000 dollars and cited for 6 serious safety violations in just the past few years.
