St. Louis Co., MO. – At about 12:50 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Zackariah Nolan, 22, was injured in a 2 car accident on I-270, in St. Louis Co., MO.
Mr. Nolan was driving a 2007 Toyota Prius, north of the Tesson Ferry Rd exit, at the time of the accident. Apparently, things took a bad turn, when Mr. Nolan’s vehicle was struck by a 2004 Jaguar S, driven by Richard Blankenship, 69. According to authorities, Mr. Blankenship was reaching for a cell phone, which caused him to veer to the left and into Mr. Nolan’s car. As a result, the Prius crashed into the median, seriously injuring Mr. Nolan.
Mr. Nolan was taken by ambulance to St. Anothony’s Medical Center. There is no word about his current condition. Mr. Blankenship appears to have not suffered any injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. There is no report of any citations or charges, or whether an investigation is still ongoing.
