Queenstown, MD – A barn collapse around 5 p.m. Tuesday, in Queenstown, MD has seriously injured one worker.
Workers were reportedly working on a barn near the 100 block of Overlook Drive when suddenly the rafters of the barn gave way. As a result, one worker was serious injured and had to be evacuated by State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
There is no update available concerning the worker’s condition, or the nature of his injury, but given that the accident site is close to 40 miles, as the crow flies, from Shock Trauma, it must have been pretty serious.
While the cause of the collapse has yet to be determined, an investigation is certainly underway.
