Hokes Bluff, AL – This past Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m., a woman and her two daughters, ages 11 and 19, respectively, were injured when the pick-up they were riding in was rear-ended by another vehicle.
According to sources, the driver of the vehicle who initiated the collision appears to be a juvenile, who was fleeing from police on County Road 71. The juvenile apparently threw something out the car window and fled from police until colliding with the woman’s pick-up.
The age of the woman is unknown. All three women in the pick-up truck were injured and flown by helicopter to UAB Hospital. Two of the women were said to be in critical condition. The driver of the car was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The severity of his injuries is not currently known.
Authorities expect to take the driver of the car to a juvenile detention facility following his release from the hospital.
