London, KY – Shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Laurel Cookie Factory in London, KY, Walter Garrett was injured in a forklift accident.
Mr. Garrett, 35, was working when he reportedly became stuck between a forklift and a wall. He was later discovered by a co-worker who called for help. This witness is reported as saying the the forklift was left in gear and the break was not set, allowing the forklift to roll towards, then pin Mr. Garrett against the wall, when he got off to shrink wrap a pallet.
Mr. Garrett was freed by first-responders and taken by helicopter to UK Hospital. There is no word about his current condition or the severity of his injuries.
