Fort Worth, TX — Police that two people were injured on Wednesday morning of this week (August 26, 2015) after a semi-truck and a pickup truck got into an accident on Loop 820 at I-35W. It’s not quite clear which person in which vehicle was injured, but the reports said that one person was in serious condition while the other suffered only minor injuries.
At about 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, it looks like a black pickup truck was headed east along Loop 820 and was coming up on the exits for I-35W. The driver was apparently trying to cut across multiple lanes to make an exit when the truck appeared to cut off an 18-wheeler.
The big rig swerved to avoid a wreck, but lost control and tipped over. The 18-wheeler was hauling fruit and a large amount of it was dumped onto Loop 820 as a result of the accident.
The police said that two people were injured, one seriously and one only slightly, and were rushed to a local hospital. It’s not clear if the pickup truck driver will face charges.
Update: Both of the injured people here were in the 18-wheeler truck, the news has confirmed.
