Berrian Springs, MI – Aidan Aguilar is in critical condition and three others were injured after the vehicle they were riding in struck a house in Berrian County on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015. The incident occurred sometime that afternoon.
19-year-old Aaron Michael Schlaack was driving a car northbound along Niles Road when the accident happened. For reasons unknown, the vehicle departed from the roadway and crashed into a house.
Aguilar was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is in critical condition.
Schlaack was treated at Lakeland Hospital and released. Two other passengers were also treated for injuries, 18-year-old Travis Michael Kovalska and 18-year-old Dakota Mane Luna.
There were no injuries reported inside the house.
Investigation regarding this accident is ongoing. At this time it isn’t clear if excessive speed or distracted driving were contributing factors to the accident.
