Rock Hill, SC — A man at working at a new, upcoming apartment complex in Rock Hill has been injured and hospitalized after an accident. It happened on Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015 at about 9:00 a.m. The worker’s name hasn’t been released yet.
According to the news reports, a man working on the new Waterford Terrace Apartments building was on the second story that morning when something went wrong and he fell to the ground.
The worker was badly injured and had to be rushed to a hospital, though it was later confirmed that the man wasn’t in life-threatening condition. It’s not clear who he was working for at the time.

Every employee is required to have Personal Protective Equipment on a construction site (PPE) and that also includes fall prevention gear and safety equipment for those working with heights. Was this worker wearing a harness? Did he have the right kind of tools and safety gear, or was he sent to do a task ill-equipped. Often times, employers don’t really think through the consequences of sending a worker to do something without the right gear.
