Milton, DE — There was a serious accident reported outside of Milton on Cave Neck Road last month that left at least two people injured. Police said that Ray Richardson, 55, was charged with driving under the influence and second-degree vehicular assault after both he and Elisandro Perez, 28 years old, were injured in this accident.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Richardson was driving his Nissan pickup truck along Cave Neck Road that afternoon when he appeared to lose control and veer into oncoming traffic.
Then, his truck hit Elisandro Perez’s Toyota pickup truck, which was apparently hauling a trailer. The accident left Perez with injuries and he was rushed to Beebe Helthcare. Richardson, though, was much more seriously injured and rushed to the hospital as well.
At the last update, Richardson was being treated for his injuries, but was also facing the charges mentioned above.
