Mercer, PA — There was a serious work-related accident reported on Tuesday this week that resulted in a worker being transported to two different hospitals. Michael Hiles, 45 years old, was reportedly trimming trees for a landscaping company on Tuesday morning (August 18, 2015) when it appears that a branch fell down and struck him.
Fortunately, workers at the site were able to lift the branch and Hiles was eventually placed in an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital.
However, he was later airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital for further care.
The cause of the tree branch breaking wasn’t clear and the name of the company Hiles worked for wasn’t released. This happened at a house on the 800 block of Latonka Drive.
