Lewiston, ME – Jordan Norwood is hospitalized in Portland after being struck by an SUV while riding his bike on Saturday, August 15th, 2015.
11-year-old Jordan Norwood was riding his bike along Tall Pines Drive when the accident happened. It’s believed that Jordan was riding in the left-hand lane when he veered into the path of the SUV in the right lane resulting in the collision.
The identity of the SUV was established as 17-year-old Matthew Moran.
Jordan is in critical condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
There were no other injuries reported.
Investigation into this accident is ongoing.
