Texarkana, TX — There was a serious accident that blocked most of Highway 59 in Texarkana this past Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015. Police said that a silver SUV and a semi-truck collided head-on southwest of Texarkana on Wednesday morning, leaving the SUV’s driver with injuries.
There haven’t been very many details released thus far, but the police said that the semi-truck appeared to be a flatbed hauling some sort of steel rolls.
The accident is still being investigated.
From the looks of the news reports, it appears as though one or both of the vehicles swerved into oncoming traffic that morning, but it’s not clear which one.
