Mansfield, Ohio – Paul Whitley and Tyler Whitley were seriously injured in Mansfield, Ohio after their transport truck collided with an 18-wheeler on Monday, August 3rd, 2015. The accident happened around 3:25 pm.
The father and son were traveling southbound on Interstate 71 when they rear ended a 18-wheeler that had allegedly just merged onto the highway from Ohio 13 and was trying to accelerate to the posted 70-mile-per-hour speed limit. The father, Paul Whitley, was driving the Manufacturing Transport truck when it collided with the 18-wheeler.
Paul Whitley was taken to OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Tyler Whitley was flown by medical helicopter to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Paul is in fair condition, and Tyler’s status is unknown.
No other injuries were reported.
