Vevay Township, MI — A man died in a hit-and-run accident in Vevay Township, Michigan, on Friday, August 7, 2015. The accident took place at the intersection of Barnes Road and Tuttle Road, around 1:30 in the morning.
The man killed in the accident was identified as 54-year-old Michael Lorencen.
Local news sources don’t have many details at all about how the accident happened. Local police were searching the scene of the accident when a man drove by asking about his son, who had called and told him that his vehicle had broken down in the area.
Police accompanied the man back to his home, where they found his son, as well as a vehicle parked in the driveway that had sustained front-end damage.
Police have charged him with DUI, along with leaving the scene of an accident.
