Longview, TX — There were reports of an accident in Longview involving a man on a bicycle and a pickup truck, which the local police later confirmed. They said that a man riding his bike was injured and rushed to a hospital early Saturday morning this past weekend when he collided with a pickup truck along Marshall Avenue.
This happened at about 7:30 a.m. that morning, Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Police said that the man was riding his bicycle east along Marshall Avenue – which is also known as U.S. Highway 80 – when he came to the intersection with Loop 281.
He apparently entered the intersection that morning and was hit by a truck that had been north on U.S. 281. The accident didn’t kill the bicyclist, who wasn’t named, but sent him to a hospital for his injuries.
As of Monday, there weren’t any releases or updates that gave his name or condition.
