Gainesville, MO — There was an accident reported along Highway 160 this past Thursday night in rural Ozark County that left a local man with serious injuries. Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Darin Evans, 42 years old, was badly injured after his Chevy pickup truck collided head-on with an 18-wheeler truck.
This happened just outside of Gainesville, around 10:00 p.m. at night.
Evans had apparently been driving his Chevy 1500 pickup truck east along Highway 160 and was about 1 mile west of town when he crashed head-on into an 18-wheeler that was headed in the opposite direction.
Later, the trucker told police said that Evans lost control and swerved into his lane. He wasn’t injured, but officers later identified him as Arkansas resident Dwight King, 60 years old.
