Hesperus, CO — One person was hospitalized in an accident with a box truck in Hesperus, Colorado, on Friday, July 31, 2015. The accident took place on Highway 160, around 1:30 in the afternoon.
The accident was between a box truck and a Toyota Tundra. The Tundra was being driven by John Moore, while the box truck was being driven by Frederick Yazzie.
How the accident happened isn’t clear. Reports say that Tundra appears to have hit the rear passenger side of the box truck as it passed by.
One person was taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. However, local hospitals have no record of treating Yazzie or Moore, so that individual seems to have been a passenger inside the box truck, who was not named.
The accident is being investigated by local officials.
