Fort Worth, Texas — A man was injured in a fire at a duplex where he lived on Friday, July 24, 2015.
News reports did not identify the man who was injured.
Sometime after 3 a.m., the man was awoken by the smell of smoke and called for help. When firefighters arrived, they found the man inside the duplex, but unresponsive. After they got the man out, he was taken to a Dallas hospital.
Though he was in critical condition, it was reported that the man was able to respond when paramedics were questioning him in the ambulance.
The duplex had extensive damage.
There was no mention of any other occupants.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
