Corcoran, CA — Last Friday, July 17, 2015, there was a serious wreck between a semi-truck and a car on Highway 43, just south of Corcoran. Truck driver Rigoberto Ledesm Jr., 36 years old, was hurt in the accident and had to be taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
This happened at about 1:15 p.m. that afternoon, at the intersection of Highway 43 and 4th Avenue.
The news reports released by the CHP said that Ledesma was driving a semi-truck south along the highway that afternoon when he came to the intersection with 4th Avenue, where a car headed north gradually veered into his lanes and caused a head-on collision.
The driver of the car wasn’t named and the police didn’t make any mention of that person being injured. However, they did note that Ledesma had to be hospitalized for moderate injuries.
It’s not clear if the driver who lost control of his car will be cited here.
