I wish we knew a little more about what happened here. How long had the driver been on the road? Who was it that he was traveling with? Was it a co-worker, or perhaps a friend? Employers will typically have workers’ comp policies that will step in an handle any work-related injury. However, whenever someone who doesn’t work for the company is injured in an accident, workers’ comp does nothing for that person. Whether or not something was wrong with the vehicle itself can also further complicate matters. Hopefully, the investigation into the accident can shed some light on things in the coming days.
