Omaha, NE — There was an accident out on I-680, on the north side of Omaha, early Friday morning that left two people with serious injuries. The news reported on this accident today, but didn’t provide very many details.
So far, we know that it involved a black car that somehow crashed off the side of I-680 and another car that flipped over. It happened early Friday morning, July 10, near Wenninghoff Road.
The news said that the two cars collided under unknown circumstances, causing one of the vehicles (black sedan) to swerved into off the edge of the interstate and plunge into the creek below. The other car overturned.
Two people were injured in the accident and one of them was a woman who was in the black car that crashed into the creek. The other person was also a woman and both were taken to Creighton University Medical Center.
Right now, it remains unclear who caused the accident.
