Austin, Texas — A family of three was injured after a jet ski crashed into their boat this past weekend on Lake Austin and fled the scene. This happened near Emma Long Park, authorities with the APD said, close to the Emma Long Park and the Loop 360 bridge.
The Luedeman was apparently using their small boat on Lake Austin this weekend when they said a black and yellow jet ski crashed into the side of them, shattering the boat’s windshield and ejecting a woman who was riding as a passenger on the jet ski.
The man driving the jet ski quickly collected his passenger, they said, and sped away toward the 360 bridge. The Luedeman’s weren’t seriously injured, but all suffered cuts and bruises from the impact. Their 3-year old daughter wasn’t badly hurt.
Right now, the APD said they are looking for this jet ski driver and aren’t sure who it belonged to, if it was a rental.
