Napoleon, MI — There was an accident reported on Monday of this week (July 6, 2015) that left three people with serious injuries. The accident happened along Brooklyn Road/M-50 and it involved a Ford pickup truck, a Chevy Impala, and a Ford Taurus. Three people, including a child, were taken to a hospital and right now, police think that alcohol could’ve been a factor.
Police told the news stations that a black Ford F-150 pickup truck was driving east along Brooklyn Road at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon when it crashed into the back of a Chevy Impala. The Impala had apparently stopped to make a left turn onto Benton, but the black Ford truck failed to brake in time.
After the truck crashed into the Chevy, it went into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Ford Taurus that was headed west.
A man, and woman, and a 4-year old girl were all taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, but it’s not clear how badly they were hurt or which vehicle they were in.
The driver of the Ford Taurus was identified as Brady Hoffman, though the news didn’t say he was injured at all.
According to the police, alcohol might have been a influential factor here, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
