Corpus Christi, TX — Two women were hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. The accident took place in the 4300 block of Holly Road, around 1:00 in the morning.
Local reports say that a woman and a passenger were traveling along Holly Road when they were side-swiped by a passing vehicle. The collision caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle before she crashed into a light pole and wooden fence. She came to a stop after colliding with two parked vehicles at a private residence on Montego Drive.
The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene, and police are currently searching for them.
The names of the woman and her passenger haven’t been released. They were taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Obviously, this sort of behavior can’t be tolerated. It shows an incredible disregard for the well-being of others on the road, and is a near admission of fault in an accident. After asking how someone could be so uncaring after something like this, my next question is whether or not the at-fault party had something they wanted to hide from authorities so much, that they’d risk being charged with a hit-and-run to do it. Hopefully local police are able to find those responsible for this accident soon.
