Toney, AL — There was a wreck along Highway 53 this past Tuesday, June 23, 2015 that left at least two people with injuries. Police said a black pickup truck and a red Ford Mustang were involved in a serious accident along Highway 53 that day, leaving the man in the Mustang with critical injuries.
This happened in the morning hours at the intersection of Toney Road and Highway 53, the police said.
It’s not clear what happened yet, but the Mustang went off the side of the highway after the accident. As stated, the man driving that car was the most seriously injured, though no information beyond what’s written here has been released yet.
The driver of the black truck, who wasn’t named, was injured but not very seriously.
Right now, it looks like the accident closed down traffic for a few hours, but the police haven’t really said what caused it or who was at fault, if either of the drivers.
