Houston, TX — The news reports in Houston talked about a man being taken to a hospital with very serious injuries this past Wednesday night (July 1, 2015) after he was accidentally hit by a car. This happened late at night, the HPD confirmed, at the intersection of Kirkwood Road and Westheimer Road.
A man in his 20’s was at the Starbucks on the south side of Westheimer that night when he left and tried to walk across Westheimer.
As he stepped into the street, a passing car crashed into him and the driver later told police he didn’t see the young man until it was too late. The man in his 20’s was severely injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, Ben Taub, and was said to be in serious condition. However, his condition isn’t life-threatening, the hospital said.
The driver who hit the young man wasn’t identified and it doesn’t look like he won’t face any charges.
