Methuen, MA — There were reports of a pedestrian-car accident this past Saturday morning, June 20, and the local authorities in Methuen later confirmed that a man was critically injured after being hit by a car while crossing Lowell Boulevard on foot.
This happened at about 3:30 a.m. that Saturday morning. The man, 51 years old, was truing to walk across (or perhaps along) Lowell Boulevard that morning when he was accidentally hit by a passing Honda Civic.
That driver, 25-year old Darlin Lantigua, wasn’t hurt by the accident, but the 51-year old man in the street was critical injured. Paramedics showed up and called a medical helicopter to come and take the man to a hospital, and that’s the last update released.
It appears the man was in critical condition and the police have since ruled out impairment, alcohol, or drugs in their investigation thus far.
