Commentary
I didn’t witness this accident happen, so I wouldn’t want to jump to any conclusions right now as to why it happened. I can say that in similar accidents I’ve seen in the past, drivers can be held responsible if it’s determined that their actions led to an accident, and to their passengers being hurt. This is handled much the same way as a driver would be held liable for another driver’s injuries in any fender bender you see on the road. Obviously, there’s still some investigating that needs to be done, but this is something I’ve seen happen many times in the past.
